Hello & Welcome

Welcome to the wonderful world of PACSO!

Over the last 25 years we have developed our charity to provide support and respite to parents and carers who have a child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities.

We are based in Chichester, West Sussex, supporting 0-25 year olds from the Chichester and Arun districts, and other surrounding areas.

Children and young people do not need a formal diagnosis or EHCP to become a member of PACSO.

At PACSO we provide a range of activities and levels of support to ensure that our services are inclusive and accessible to all who need us.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to the wonderful world of PACSO!

The PACSO Ethos and Expertise

All PACSO activities are designed to be inclusive and fun, to build resilience, independence, and self-esteem. We provide a diverse choice of clubs and activities to meet the wide range of needs of children we support; both in secure school settings and out and about in the community using our minibus.

Our Play Team are trained to meet a wide range of needs including tube feeding, administering medication, postural care, emergency epilepsy protocols, alternative communication techniques, sensory regulation and positive behaviour support. This allows the children & young people to attend alone, offering them independence from their families, whilst giving parent carers the respite they so desperately need.

All of our staff are required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, and we have robust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies in place to ensure the safety of every child in our care.

Poppy has been attending PACSO sessions/ activities for over 10 years now and I could not imagine a life without PACSO. The staff & volunteers [are] the most incredible people and I am forever grateful for all the help and support over the years. PACSO is a safe place for Poppy to have fun, interact with peers and build valuable relationships. I have always felt more than confident that Poppy is safe and happy with the PACSO Team. Thank you so much for all the hard work.
