Welcome to the Parents And Carers Support Organisation (PACSO)

PACSO is a local charity that supports parents and carers of a child or young person aged 5 to 18 years with a disability who live within the Chichester or Arun districts. We provide a unique local service that responds to the needs of the members.

We offer children with disabilities and their able siblings’ recreational opportunities that give much needed short term break provision to them and their families. We organise a weekly After School Club, Saturday Clubs and Play Days in the Easter, Summer and Christmas Holidays. Twice a term we provide a free coffee morning for parents and carers to share experiences and offer support to each other.

PACSO is rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED.

Compulsive Productions and the Parents And Carers Support Organisation present

During 2006 The Children’s Fund made a donation to PACSO to create a demonstration film. This is an opportunity to show carers, children and our supporters why PACSO exists and what we do.
On Saturday clubs, coffee mornings and Easter play days PACSO was joined by the Compulsive Productions film team, who came highly recommended by West Sussex County Council to film community events.
A range of children, staff, parents, workshop leaders and volunteers featured on the film through a range of activity shots and interviews. Children enjoyed assisting with the filming and designing the DVD inlay card.
The PACSO DVD was launched at our annual general meeting on June 2nd, where we all enjoyed watching the film for the first time together!
The new family membership price includes a copy of the film on DVD.
