PACSO was set up in 1999 to meet the needs of families who have a disabled child. Concerned at the lack of respite care available in West Sussex, parents and carers told us that the best way we could support them was by providing a variety of fun and inclusive play activities for their children.
PACSO currently supports 150 families in the Chichester and Arun districts. We do not require a formal diagnosis, but rather seek to support the individual and varying needs of each family.
PACSO is the only place that all three of my children can play together on equal terms with everybody else. The siblings have the benefit of talking to other siblings and seeing other disabled children, whilst my disabled son is entertained amused, directed and encouraged at all events.
